A very wet day
I think I was lucky that I had to go running pretty early this morning, because it was kind of lightly snowing at that point. Throughout the day it has been sleeting and now just raining, making for a big mess with all the snow left on the sidewalks. I was dreading the post-workout run today as usual but it wasn't too bad. I was tired, but I think drinking a lot of water after leaving the track last night was a very good thing. Sometimes I'm too cold or I forget and then the dehydration makes me feel really bad the next morning.
Since I was near my bus route already this morning for a doctor's appointment, I decided to go to the gym after that instead of waiting until the afternoon. That was where my workouts started to catch up with me. I managed to bike for a bit and then lift, but I was really dead by the time I left and couldn't wait to get home and eat lunch! In retrospect, getting both workouts done in the morning was good because I was able to spend all afternoon working on an assignment that is due tomorrow. Plus, by only going out once, I didn't have to get wet a million times--I just never dried :)
My doctor's appt. was just a routine exam, but it was the first time I had been to one of the Harvard doctors. She asked if I needed any referrals and I tried to get one for physical therapy, since I still could use a little ART, but she said she could only refer to the Harvard PTs who do not do that sort of stuff. Very disappointing. I may call around and see how much one or two sessions would cost out of pocket.
I am being distracted by the sound of my stomach growling. Since Matt's still in NYC, I'm treating myself to takeout.
