Quiet Christmas run
I headed out to my favorite place to run in Westchester this morning, expecting it to be deserted on Christmas. Actually, there were a lot of families there enjoying the sunny (but cold) holiday--it was nice to see. I am continuing to build my long run back up, provided that my knee holds up. When I go there, I do generally the same loop but start at different places depending on how far I want to run that day. Today I ran for almost 2 hours, but I was consciously trying to go easy so I don't think I went all that far. The route was very hilly--as it always is--but somehow the hills on my shorter run yesterday seemed harder! My knee gave me some trouble, more like stiffness, that made me alter my stride a little which worried me a bit. I'm icing right now. The back of it is still stiff too, so I will continue to keep an eye on it.
We're heading over to Matt's mom's house now for a little "Jewish Christmas" celebration. Our tradition is usually going to the movies, so this is a new thing for us. I'm sure it will be entertaining!

The park in Westchester looks beautiful. I am glad you were able to get a nice 2 hour run in - I hope your knee feels better today.
