No time to spare today
I woke up on the early side today--not quite as early as the alarm was set for because I was working until 1am last night--and went running for a little more than an hour. It was cold but sunny, which I like a lot. Since then I've been working on my various assignments and papers and feeling frustrated that I don't have time to lift today. (Plus the gym has weird hours because it's school break right now.) I know that a couple less days of getting that extra cross-training and lifting time won't kill me, but I usually am able to fit everything in and still get me work done, so when that doesn't happen I get upset. Alas, I must remember what is really important here! It will all be over soon...
Tonight we are meeting some Cornell friends for sushi! They live in NH but are venturing into Boston this afternoon. I have heard that this particular sushi place is better than the ones I have tried so far, so I'm hopeful. And hungry.
After dinner I'm going to come back here and do some work and get to bed at a decent hour so that I am not too tired for my long run tomorrow. My knee felt pretty good today but all this sitting is making my IT band tight, I think--I feel it when I get up from the desk. Hopefully it'll hold up tomorrow and I'll be able to get a good long run under my belt (not too long yet, but we'll get there.)
