Weather confusion

I just don't get it. Last night, Matt came home around 2am complaining about how freezing it was outside. So this morning, I checked the weather (27 degrees), stuck my head out the window and put on tights, gloves--the works. When I got outside, it was so sunny that I wasn't even cold at first! I was really regretting my decision to wear tights, especially when I saw two guys wearing shorts.

However, once I took my gloves off and got down near the river, the wind was blowing and I was cold again. Vindication!

As I suspected, my knee was still pretty sore today from running in the snow yesterday. I was bummed that it was bothering me since it had been feeling so good for the past 5 days or so, plus I'm scheduled to try that indoor workout on Tuesday night. I ran about 45 minutes and foam rolled a lot, then did the elliptical and lifted this afternoon. Right now it feels okay but this seems to be the kind of thing that only bothers me when I'm running (how convenient:).

The rest of my day was uneventful; we watched the Jets lose to Baltimore (on TV) after starting out really strong and then just did schoolwork. This next week and a half sucks for me in terms of schoolwork and tests. I'm in denial that I have two exams next week--I better get cracking. Tomorrow.

good luck on your exams, becky! the weather in boston is incredibly schizophrenic. i remember hitting the city for a long run - i took off early on a sunday morning in shorts and a jacket. as soon as i got near the charles, i started to freeze!!! i had my debit card with me and was so desperate that i tried to find an open store so i could buy some pants. no luck....burrrrr.
