Fake day off
I woke up several times in the middle of the night noticing that my throat was sore, and I really was not in the mood to run a whole lot when I finally did get out of bed. So I did an easy five or a little more and called it a day. The weather wasn't too bad when I was out there, but since then it's been sleeting and snowing, and we're even supposed to get a little accumulation. Whoo-hoo! I guess this is what I've been waiting for--a real winter.
I would have liked to have a relaxing day today since I wasn't feeling so great, but I had to go do a project. We are assessing health centers and adult literacy centers for my Health Literacy class, so I went to do my fieldwork. I had a feeling that visiting these places on a Friday wasn't the best choice, but it was the day that worked best in my schedule, so I'll have to make do. It was a little hard explaining why exactly I was there and what I was doing, but I did learn a lot and will hopefully have enough information to write the paper that's due next week on it!
I'll be keeping my eye on the NCAA Regionals results this weekend. Too bad one of them isn't at Franklin Park, but we are meeting friends from DC for lunch tomorrow, so I probably wouldn't have been able to go anyway. It's easier to follow them online, and I'm especially looking forward to Beth's eyewitness account. The weather today would have been perfect championship XC weather!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
