Two short runs
Yesterday ended up being a really weird running day. I wanted to have an easy day, so I started running on the treadmill at lunchtime while all the elliptical machines were taken. I had planned just to run but they had good trashy magazines for once, so I ran about 2 miles while I waited for an elliptical to open up. Then I ellipticalled for 45 minutes. I thought about finishing up my workout for the day by running another two miles after I finished ellipticalling but I decided I needed to go back to work at some point.
So after my two mile run I decided I could not put two miles in my log. So I got home from work after a long day, started laundry, and ran 4 more miles. It was pretty hot when I started out but by the end of the run it wasn't too bad. Not much of an exciting training day but sometimes you just have to do what you can to get a few miles in.
Today I am meeting my old buddy F. for a run at lunchtime, and I think we will go 5 or 6 miles. After we run I would like to lift weights really quickly and then I think I will run again after work. We don't have anything going on tonight but the rest of the week is pretty busy - Wednesday we are going to Twelfth Night at the Boulder Shakespeare Festival and then Friday we are going to see the Killers in concert. I have not been sleeping too well so I don't feel the best but hopefully that will change for the better soon.
