I jammed my T12!

That sounds kind of cool doesn't it? I think so. Unfortunately it rather sucks. I used to be really obsessed about my running, much more so than I am now, and when I was more obsessed I did less dumb stuff that would mess up my running, like mountain biking and the like. So that was nice. Now I do other stuff and I mess myself up and then I can't run and get depressed.

I went to the chiropractor after work yesterday and the plan was to go for a nice run afterwards but unfortunately Dr. Craig, my chiropractor, said that was a terrible idea and I should go for a nice walk instead. So I interpreted going for a walk as walking over to my neighborhood pub and playing trivia. Which was a good time although I think my sweet spot is the literature questions and there, not so much. One of the literature questions was about nursery rhymes (what the hell) and another was basically an American history question. That is crap! I love trivia but it makes me stressed because I totally want to win.

I stayed up a little later than I would have liked but I was actually wide awake this morning. My back is making it more difficult for me to sleep this week. I thought about ellipticalling but I really wanted to run and when I did a test jog in the bathroom it felt okay, so I ran 8 miles. This was a source of some frustration for me because my legs felt awesome but my back hurt so I couldn't go very fast. I had a decent run though. I am just so frustrated because it seems like I just cannot run anywhere near decent mileage lately. Oh well. Anyway I got back, got a bit of a lecture from Matt, went to work, got another lecture, etc., etc. After work I'm going to elliptical and then we have to go to the store to buy supplies for the going away barbeque we're having tomorrow night. Also we want to cook a little something for dinner because we haven't been home for dinner in many days. Which is expensive and unhealthy.

That is the news. Today my focus is Advil, drinking lots of water, and stretching out my back. Tomorrow morning I hope to have another nice run of a somewhat reasonable distance.

I guess you're all lectured out by this point, so I won't say anything :-) I hope your back feels better soon!! Did the chiropractor have any useful advice as to how you can un-jam it, other than just resting?
