Summer has Arrived!

Weather in Colorado is so crazy. One minute it's snowing, the next it is freaking hot. Today the high is 91 degrees.... and yes, it is only May. I ran this morning at 9:00 and it was already about 80 out. The heat in combination with my tired legs (from running, ellipticalling, lifting, and aqua jogging yesterday), made for a pretty lethargic run. But I tried to just enjoy the beautiful morning and all the greenness (is that a word?) that surrounded me. Colorado is green for such a short period of time that you really have to enjoy it while you can.

Later today we have a barbeque in Wash Park (which is where I ran this morning), and I am going to get there on my own steam - i.e. without a car. My brother's coming to pick me up on his motorcycle so that should be fun. I am totally against motorcycles as I believe they are death machines but I am kind of excited to get a ride, hypocrite that I am. We're meeting our parents for lunch and then I am taking my stepmom for a facial, her late Mother's day present. It should be a lot of fun. Hopefully Matt is not reading my blog today - because I also think I am going to stop and get him the new Dave Matthews CD on the way down to the park, just to do something nice. So it should be another good, busy day.
