Spring Snow!

As I am sure most people know due to the national coverage, we got quite a snowstorm yesterday in Denver. As such, even though I probably could have gone out for a quick run, I did not. It would not have been fun - we had blizzard conditions including high winds for the entire day. And I think I could have tried to go to the gym but I would bet money it would have been closed. I know, excuses, excuses... but somehow I still managed 50 miles for the week even though I feel like I have done nothing. Today I have not run yet (I am at work doing my second training class with few students), but I've brought my running stuff so I can head to the gym after work (assuming it's open, I'd better check) and run on the treadmill. By tomorrow I think it should be fine to run outside but for now it's just a bit wet and snowy everywhere. You've got to love our spastic weather - by Thursday it should be 70 degrees out.

So on Friday I did 4 miles on the treadmill with Matt at his old gym before we went to a friend's birthday party. I felt like crap as was usual last week unfortunately. Saturday morning I skipped practice (I am pretty sure I'm going to leave RRB this week, I am so not motivated to drive to Boulder all the time so it is a waste of money), and ran 11 from home. I actually felt pretty good! So that was nice. Then I went to a cooking class with work, came home, and we went to a friend's house for a drink. It was a good day and for once it was nice to feel good on a run. I think I should be feeling decent today as well, hopefully. I have no idea how much I will run - there is a limit to my excitement about running on the treadmill - but I'd like to do some cross training or possibly lifting as well. I think that I might start doing more cross training because it might help me get out of this current slump of feeling cruddy and thinking that I am a fatty and being unable to drop any weight.

Happy snow day everyone!
