Signed up for a few races
That is the extent to the running excitement of this weekend. I was lame and hardly ran. I don't even know how many miles I ran last week, somewhere in the high 40's which is quite weak considering that one of the races I signed up for this weekend is a half marathon which is in 3 weeks! Oh well. I think I will be okay if I have a good week this week (which will end with a second race that I signed up for this weekend, a 5 miler).
Nonetheless, lame running aside, we had such a great weekend. We drove up to Vail Saturday morning (after I ran 4 miles), and skied one run after walking around and looking for pants for Matty as he had forgotten his. This turned out to be a bad idea most likely - buying Matt pants that is - because on our one run of the day he fell on his chest and is staying home from work today due to a bruised rib. However we ended up staying at the Ritz in Beaver Creek and it was absolutely fabulous. We got a couples massage yesterday morning which was really nice. I would have liked to go for a hike or something but it was really nice to lounge around and go in their pool and hot tub a bunch. They have this really cool indoor hot tub thing called the Grotto which is just enormous and really fun. So it was a nice, if lazy, weekend.
This morning I woke up at 6:00 and ran my 8 mile run down to Wash Park. Since I sucked yesterday I am going to run another 4 miles after work as well. We have a crazy week - concert tonight (that I am not going to do since I need to do laundry and I don't like the band), Nuggets game tomorrow night (yay!), and U2 concert tomorrow (also big yay!!). Hopefully I will actually get some mileage in this week. I am committed to doing it for sure.

You always have such exciting things to do each night!
I'm glad you found some races to run. That usually gets me excited and motivated to train. Can't wait to hear all about them!
