Foggy Run
I got up this morning and it was foggy and cloudy and humid again. Which does not bother me because it's so rare here but I do think we're having one of those cloudy springs that we have every few years. The year I graduated from high school I swear the sun didn't come out more than twice the entire month of May. Hopefully this spring will not be too bad but in a continuation of my whiny ways lately it is still damned cold. Yesterday it probably didn't get much over 40 degrees and I don't think it'll hit 60 until Sunday if even then. Oh well, it is not too bad but I have all this cute springy stuff to wear that I won't be able to wear until June at this rate!
Anyway. Running. I planned to run about 8 miles this morning and then do 4-6 miles after work just because I am obsessed and Matt is having a farewell happy hour for his work so we are not meeting our friends tonight until 7:30. I ended up running 9 miles instead and I would still like to run 4-5 more miles after work just because I am obsessed. Tomorrow I am planning on maybe 10-11 miles before work just for the hell of it and also so that I do not spend Easter Sunday doing a super long run or anything. Also tomorrow if I have time I may try to lift weights because my sad little 20-second lifting session on Tuesday just didn't quite cut it.
Frankly I am feeling a bit slow on my runs recently but I do feel stronger, as in I could keep running for as long as I wanted within reason. So that's a good feeling. Now if I can keep my stomach under control for the next few days I will be feeling great!

Maybe you're feeling slow b/c of the mileage increase? I don't know. I've been feeling the same way recently as well, so obviously I am not yet aware of the cure :-)

Hey Barb! I'm Nanda, the new blogger ;) I'm finally caught up on your blog, some very, very interesting stories! How's your stomach doing? I have major stomach issues normally so I'm one of those people that has to be extra careful about what I eat before long runs. I recommend trying to stick to carbs the night before, low fat, low protein and low fiber, it should help keep things down.
