Thursday!!!

Woo hoo!!!! I am so excited that it is Thursday and in 12 hours I will be home!! Not only that, which is so great, but I had a great time in NYC last night getting Matt a sweet Halloween costume and walking around and whatnot. And on top of that = I ran 8 miles this morning and felt great! Tomorrow morning I am going trail running before I go to PT, and then Saturday I may possibly go run a workout with my team to actually see them for once, but that depends on how much fun I have tomorrow night at the Halloween party!

May update later and hopefully tomorrow but if not I hope all the bloggers have great weekends! Happy Halloween :)

Moderation

Now that my knee is feeling good, I am practicing moderation. Moderation has never been my strong point but I think that I am doing passably with it. This morning I felt like running 7 or 8 miles but I decided that it would be better to run 5 miles this morning and then run a bit longer tomorrow if I still feel good - since tomorrow morning I'll value sleeping later and running is more time-efficient. So I got up at 5:35, went to the gym, and ran 5 miles from there. The run I did is uphill almost the whole way out and downhill almost the whole way back. I tried to push the pace a bit and I am happy to report that my knee felt fine - last week it had been okay except for when I tried to run fast. Now it feels fine all the time. When I got back to the gym I foam rollered for a minute or two and then did the elliptical for 25 minutes just to get a little more cardio in and to watch the Today show for a while.

I think I should easily run 30 miles this week unless something bad happens so that is good. Last night after I bought a new cell phone (because my phone was lost/stolen on Friday) I did end up going to the gym and lifted weights, then did the elliptical for one hour while I watched my favorite show, the Gilmore Girls. Honestly I would not be too sad if I never watched it again but it is a nice diversion. I have found that I am much happier in New Jersey when I have a lot of stuff to do. Even if that stuff is working out somewhat obsessively it is better than sitting around feeling sorry for myself!

And the best news of all is that I am going home tomorrow :) On top of that tonight I am heading into NYC to pick up a Halloween costume for Matt - he found a Popeye costume that he really wants - and apparently getting the best pizza in New York which I am really excited about because I've been craving pizza for weeks. Should be a good time.

I Like Trees

This is seriously the level of cognitive function that is available to me at 6:00 am. I was running along this morning, and literally that was the thought in my brain - I like trees. Trees are pretty.

So the foliage is nice in northern New Jersey right now. It is very dark in the mornings and I think I am going to buy a reflective vest on Friday so that I don't get run over. Anyway now that it's almost 10:00 and I am more awake, here is a brief run report - ran for 7 miles along Horseneck Road. I was planning on 6 miles but I felt great and I did not even have a hint of pain in my hip, IT band, or knee. Today is the one month anniversary of my marathon and I finally feel like running again, and I feel good when I run. I think I am mostly recovered although I will still go to the PT on Friday.

Last night I did the elliptical for 95 minutes at a higher intensity than normal - those things must not be right because it said after 65 minutes I had burned like 950 calories and gone 9.5 miles. So that was a good time although I watched like 10 minutes of The Swan which has got to be the most disturbing thing on television. I do not want to think about it any more right now. Tonight I have no plans per se so I am going to go back to the gym, lift weights, and then elliptical for one hour while I watch my favorite TV show, the Gilmore Girls.

Also in light of recent events I believe I have decided to be Ashlee Simpson for Halloween so hopefully I will be able to pick up some costume-like items tomorrow in NYC or else at the mall or something. I can't decide if this will be really funny or kind of stupid but at least I will get to run around singing poorly which I am very good at!

Maine

So much to write about the weekend, I do not know where to begin. I guess I will start with running.

Friday: 4 miles easy, New Jersey
Saturday: 6 miles, 5k alumni cross country race at Bowdoin
Sunday: 5 miles, Wolfe's Neck Woods trail run

So last week I actually managed to run 28 miles and my knee did not hurt. I thought it would start during the race on Saturday, as it does not seem to enjoy running faster than 8:00 pace, but it never really started to hurt so that was cool. I don't know when I last updated the blog but on Thursday I did the elliptical for 95 minutes and lifted weights before I picked Matt up at the airport.

I am very tired right now - Matt's flight was at 6:00 am so we got up at 4:00 to go to the airport. I had planned to just go straight from the airport to the gym and work out but I felt terrible so I decided to go back to the hotel and sleep instead. So I slept for 3 more hours and I'll go to the gym after work instead. Since I ran the last three days of last week I am not running today but then this week I will hopefully hit 30 miles including a trail run at home on Friday which I am already excited about. I have an appointment with my PT on Friday morning because although I think I am mostly better, it really can't hurt. Or rather it will hurt but it will also help.

So here are the basics of the weekend. Matt was supposed to get here around midnight Thursday night, but he took an earlier flight standby and got in at 9:15. We drove to Manhattan (I do not recommend this but it was on the way and such) and met my friend B. for dinner at an awesome Thai restaurant. It was totally weird to see Matt out here, just because this is like my work/college friends world and he belongs in my Denver home world. It was weird but awesome. I have been getting to know Manhattan more every week so it was kind of fun to be able to show him around a little bit. So anyway we hung out with B. for a while and then drove back to Jersey to get some rest before we left for Maine. I was really excited about getting on the road Friday morning so I woke up around 7:45 and decided to go for a little run and let Matt keep sleeping since that was 5:45 his time, so I trotted around Fairfield for 36 minutes. We left around 9:15 and unfortunately I left my cell phone in the hotel and the maids said that they did not find it. This is an obvious falsehood since the phone was on when we left and when Matt tried to call it about an hour later, it was turned off. This is so irritating but these things happen. If it doesn't turn up today (I asked them to check again today) I'll go buy a new phone which sucks, I hate spending money on phones.

Anyway I digress. The drive to Maine took about 6 hours. It was very pretty and although the foliage in Maine was past peak as we expected it was perfect in Connecticut. Matt had never set foot in Connecticut and had only been in Maine for a total of about 30 seconds so it was fun to show him some new places. We went straight to Portland because it was about 3:00 and we were starving. Portland is a very cute town and I would highly recommend hanging out there. It was freezing - and really windy near the water - but it was cool to see it again. Then we drove up to Brunswick and got there around 4:30. We checked in to the Brunswick Bed and Breakfast which I would also recommend very highly, it is a very nice place. I think I am so tired I'm having a hard time coming up with adjectives. I was really tired on Friday as well but I wanted to show Matt the campus while it was still light out so we ended up taking a pretty long walk around the whole campus, the woods, and the main street of Brunswick. It was fun to see what had changed since I was there and what was the same. Friday night we had to get Matt his first whole lobster so we went out to Bailey Island for a lobster at Cook's. He enjoyed it and I got some funny before, during, and after photos. No trip to Brunswick is complete without a nighttime trip to LL Bean's flagship store in Freeport, so we went there after dinner and Matt got a fleece. I was in a weird funk where I wanted to buy something but I didn't like anything. I have so much stuff, I think I am just sick of having all that stuff.

Saturday morning we got up, had breakfast, and walked over to my old professor's house. He is great and it was fun to catch up with him. I think Matt enjoyed meeting him, he is very entertaining. Then we walked over to the field house and met Alison. She had already run a few miles but I made her warm up with me. We ran the race and Alison did great - I think she was fourth - and I finished without knee pain and under 8:00 pace which made me passably happy. I am still really unhappy about how much weight I have put on but I think the only thing I can do is keep eating better, run, and work out. And not get discouraged. But anyway the race was fun, I love running cross country!

After the race we met up with Alison and P. and we went up to Camden. We got some nice pictures from the top of Mount Battie, which was pretty but cold, and hung out there for a while. I had a surprise planned for Saturday night so we got back around 6:30 and then drove to dinner at 7:30. The surprise was just that we went to dinner at this Robinhood Meeting House Restaurant. This place is an awesome restaurant and it's in the middle of nowhere in Georgetown, Maine. So it makes a pretty good surprise because Matt was like 'Where in God's name are you taking me?'. That was a fun dinner. Afterwards we went back to the hotel and passed out, this weekend was very fun but exhausting! Sunday morning I woke Matt up at 8:00 and we got dressed and drove to Wolfe's Neck for the run. I wasn't sure how my knee would do but it was fine. Unfortunately Matt kept twisting his ankles, he had never really gone trail running before and trail running is especially challenging in the Northeast what with all the roots and stuff. So I felt terrible because I think he had fun except that every 5 minutes he twisted his ankle! He always says he is not a runner but he did very well and I was really proud of him, and I think he really enjoyed the scenery which is just outstanding.

Anyway yesterday we drove back down to New York, and since the drive takes you right into Manhattan, we decided to take our life into our hands and drive in again. Which I would not recommend although Matt really enjoyed it. Obviously he seems to have missed his true calling as a cabbie in New York. We went to the Village and hung out watching football at this cute little bar. We watched the Patriots-Jets game which should have been very exciting but really was not as there was no scoring in the second half at all, so we each picked a team and made up a drinking game. That was kind of entertaining. Then we went to this cool costume store and looked around and then went back to Jersey, checked in, and tried to pass out as early as possible.

Hoo boy that was a long entry and I am sure I've forgotten a few things! More later or tomorrow.

Off to Maine

We are leaving for Maine in like 5 minutes so this will be a quick entry. Anyway I ran about 4 miles this morning and last night lifted and did the elliptical for 95 minutes.

Tomorrow I am running a little alumni race at Bowdoin and I will be seeing Alison which will be great - I haven't seen her for about a year. I can't wait to do some running in Maine, it is such a beautiful and fun place to run!

My goal for this week was to run 20 miles. At this point I've run 17 so I think I'll probably end up with more like 25 miles for this week, which I am fine with, as my knee has been feeling great.

Two Workouts

I am tired. Not only did I wake up at 5:45 am EST, which is like 3:45 am MST, but I have done two workouts in the last 12 hours. Last night I left work and went to the gym. Since I ran on Monday I didn't think I should run again. So I lifted weights (I am in fact a little sore this morning, just in the chest and shoulders) and then ellipticalled for 90 minutes while I watched my new favorite TV show, the Gilmore Girls. Don't ask me why I like this show, I have no idea. But I think it is cute. And it definitely helps make the time go by. So that was fun.

This morning I got up early and went to the gym. I ran 6 miles from there, through this cute town named Caldwell. I ran out for 28 minutes and back for 26 or so. It was great. It is getting light so late now, though, so my runs are kind of limited. I do want to do some exploring around the area when it's getting light earlier in a few weeks. So I did that and then ellipticalled for 20 minutes while I watched a little bit of the Today show.

My foam roller is still somewhere in shipment but they have them at the gym so I did that last night and this morning. It hurts but I think it really helps.

Now because I am too excited that Matt is coming tomorrow, I need to do something fun tonight, so I am going to Manhattan to hang out with one of my college friends. It should be fun. I still haven't gone to the Village so I am making him do that. Hopefully I will also find a good place to go with Matt tomorrow or Sunday night.

Goals for the Week

I am so hungry and I'm about to go get a sandwich but I wanted to write down my goals for this week:
1. Stay on my diet - eat healthy food, no dessert except on special occasions
2. Run about 20 miles. This should be easy unless something bad happens. I'll try to run either every other day or every day depending on how I feel. I guess I could get up to 25 miles but that's about as much as I should do.
3. Cross train including weights. Just because I can actually run now doesn't mean I can abandon my newfound weight lifting habit. Also I will elliptical obsessively but not too obsessively.
4. Don't obsess over working out while in Maine. I would like to enjoy the weekend away and not worry if I don't work out a lot every day. Luckily, since Matt is not a morning person at all, I should be able to get a short run in every day.

That is all. Tomorrow morning I will write about fun weekend plans!

Boring Blog

I don't know why but for some reason I am really bored by my own blog right now. Possibly because I'm not really training for anything and my running is kind of directionless, possibly because I am worried about getting injured, possibly because I am bored by my life right now - who knows!

Anyway my knee has been doing great. I ran 4.5 miles on Friday and 4 miles on Saturday. On Friday, after running I went for a great mountain bike ride with my friends M. and S. S. is an awesome mountain biker so he gave us some tips which was great, he is so patient and he is a very good teacher. I do feel that after my injury I am in better shape in certain ways, just because I have been doing a variety of things instead of just running all the time. From a running standpoint I am in worse shape but that really can't be helped.

It was a fun weekend with lots of birthday celebrations - we took Matt out downtown on Friday night for dinner and drinks. Saturday he had to recover from celebrating so we watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (wow that is a weird movie) and hung out and ran errands. Then Saturday night we took my dad out for sushi. My stepmom broke her ankle so she was really cute trying to get around this super trendy restaurant on her crutches! On Sunday we planned on going for a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park and then going to Matt's mom's house for lunch, but we ran out of time so we ended up 'hiking' for like 10 minutes. I hate taking days off from exercise and Sunday ended up being a day off so I tried really hard to not obsess about it... I am pretty much over it ;)

I was supposed to fly out to NJ Sunday night but DIA was a mess and my flight was delayed many times so instead of getting here at 3:00 am I decided to go home and try again Monday night. So yesterday in the morning I ran 2 miles from Matt's house to mine to pick up my car, and then went to Boulder, worked for a while, and then went on a trail run. I haven't run more than 5 miles in a day since the marathon but I ran 5 miles on the Mesa Trail for a grand total of 7 miles yesterday!!! Woo hoo!! It was great and my knee felt absolutely fine the whole time. It was a beautiful, albeit somewhat windy, day in Boulder and the scenery was gorgeous. I really love trail running and even when I'm running more again I want to make an effort to do it a lot.

I'm actually not flying home this weekend - Matt's flying out here Thursday night and we are going up to Brunswick, Maine, to hang out, see the foliage, check out my alma mater, etc., etc. Matt has never been to Maine and I think it is one of the most beautiful places on the planet so I can't wait!! Since I am feeling mostly better, I may run in a little alumni race on Saturday, but that is my only major running plan except for running as much as possible on the trails there. I hope Matt likes it so we can go back! Tomorrow I will probably post more detailed plans because I am so excited about them :)

Anyway since I am tired today and ran relatively a lot yesterday, tonight I'm going to the gym, watching trashy TV, and lifting and doing the elliptical. Wednesday morning I'll probably run again.

Oh How I Love Thursdays

Thursday is probably my second favorite day of the week, after Saturday. I am bouncing off the walls counting the minutes until I get to go home, so that is fun, but also this morning I ran 5 miles!!! Woo hoo!!! I am totally pumped. It was awesome. Earlier this week, my leg was too sore from PT to run on it - the muscles just hurt when I ran. However today they felt great. And my awesome bruise is starting to fade as well. Which kind of makes me sad because I can't show it off to anyone at home, but not too sad, because it is disgusting. So anyway this morning I went to the gym, trotted around the neighborhood up there for 46 minutes which I am calling 5 miles, stretched (including using their foam roller - ouch!), and did the elliptical for 50 minutes. I also did a little bit of ab work. I am going to try to do 25 push ups tonight as well. I do like how my upper body is actually taking on a bit of definition.

In other news, today is my dad's birthday - Happy Birthday Dad!!! Also, because my posting on Fridays is sporadic, and tomorrow is Matt's birthday, Happy Birthday Matty!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am going trail running on Saturday, so I am a happy happy camper!

I think I use a lot more exclamation points when I am actually running :)

Boring Wednesday

Not running is so boring. I would love to write all about how I am frolicking through amazing trails in the trees, enjoying the beginning of fall... would love to write about that but sadly the only frolicking I did last night and this morning was on the wonderful elliptical trainer.

Last night after work I officially joined NYSC, and then ellipticalled for 1 hour and 40 minutes. I was going to do a full two hours but the only reading material was Good Housekeeping and my new favorite show (I cannot believe I am admitting this publicly), the Gilmore Girls, was so boring. So I quit when the show was about 75% finished. I have been on a healthy eating thing which is good but after the elliptical I was so hungry that I had to leave and get food. My latest food obsession (I obsess and get sick of food) is Kashi Go Lean Crunch, which is so good. So after working out I went to the store, bought cereal and rice milk, and went back to the hotel and ate. Then in a fit of productivity I dyed my hair. Orange.

Just kidding. God I am bored. I actually just dyed it slightly darker than my natural color, to cover up my gray hairs. Yes I am 26 and I have lots of gray hair. Oh well, it wasn't too much of a pain and it only took 30 minutes or so start to finish. It was a good hotel activity - I'd been planning to do this for weeks but hadn't had time at home.

This morning I got up and went to the gym where I had more fun on the elliptical for 65 minutes. Then I lifted weights for a while. I hope I will be able to run tomorrow morning but currently I am still too bruised and sore, oh well. After reading that Alison ellipticalled for 98 minutes yesterday I am thinking I should go work out again tonight. However, I may go explore NYC to alleviate my boredom - I kind of want to go to Greenwich Village.

This has been a great short week, I am already going home tomorrow!! Woo hoo!!

Hopefully I will be posting about actually running tomorrow, fingers crossed...

PT

Well I went to PT yesterday. My PT, who is totally awesome, agreed that I do have a case of ITBS. He then proceeded to work on my IT band and quad and it hurt so much. Like so much that I put some bite marks on my hand because I think I was trying to distract myself or something. He said that different people have different reactions to pain, and some people even laugh. Which caused me to laugh because I just couldn't imagine that! So now I have a totally sweet bruise on my thigh and it hurts to walk a little bit. I had been planning on a short run today but I think that may have to wait. I am pretty tired, my flight got in around midnight last night. I am going to use my last free day at NYSC tonight and probably just do the elliptical for a while and then lift weights, then hopefully run tomorrow morning.

I love having a short week here, it is making me really happy. It is already Tuesday and I'm going home on Thursday! Unfortunate that I can't do this every week but I have decided that I'm going to fly in Monday more often. I just don't care enough to keep coming on Sundays and missing out on my weekend, it is making me miserable which then makes me less productive because I am always sad.

So that is all the news that is actually new. I am already booked solid for this weekend - my dad's birthday is on Thursday, Matt's birthday is on Friday, the Buffs are playing Saturday, and we are going to Matt's mom's house on Sunday for lunch. I would love to do a little trail run this weekend and possibly some mountain biking and swimming, my new favorite activity.

Back to work!

Running Again

Well I have actually been running a little bit over the past few days which has been GREAT. On Friday morning I went and swam/aquajogged for 60 minutes, then went home and ran 3 miles! It didn't hurt at all (I promised myself that if it did hurt, I would stop immediately). I basically just ran really slow for 30 minutes, stretching after 20 minutes. It was SO MUCH FUN. I love running! It was a gorgeous day in Denver. Friday was a very active day. After running I hung out for a while and then went to a 90-minute yoga class. My arms are getting so strong I hardly know what to do with them, what with the yoga and swimming, and actually lifting!

I can't remember if I wrote anything on Thursday - if not, did the elliptical for 90 minutes and lifted. Nothing too exciting.

Saturday was the CU-OSU game so we had to go to Boulder for tailgating. I brought my bike and walked Matt to the tailgate, then went for a mountain bike ride for about 60 minutes. Biking is SO not as fun as running but I did enjoy it, a gorgeous morning. Sadly CU did not play well at all - I think the final score of the game was OSU 42, CU 14 - but it was fun. Sunday we slept in, went to breakfast, and watched football. The Broncos game was SO AWESOME! It was definitely closer than it should have been but it was a really fun game to watch, I was so glad I didn't have to go and get on an airplane at halftime! After the game was over I went for a 3 1/2 mile run, which also blissfully did not hurt. It was beautiful outside, but I can't believe how early it's getting dark now.

Now that I know my brother is actually reading my blog, I have to mention that in spite of the fact that he says he has to read my blog so that he actually knows I am alive, I went to dinner with him last night at our favorite bar. I am off the booze for one month after Saturday night so I didn't have any drinks but we had a great time eating awesome burgers.

Today - Monday - I am working from home and flying to NY at 6:00 tonight. This morning I got up around 7:00 and drove to my gym to swim. I only did 45 minutes this morning due to time constraints but it was actually fun. The thing with swimming, for me, is that once I do it three or four times it is SO MUCH easier. So it is finally getting to the point where I can swim for 20-30 minutes without feeling like I've been going for hours. That was a good breakthrough. This Friday (since I can't swim in NJ) I am planning to get up early again, swim, and go to yoga with my friend M. in the afternoon again.

That is the current news. Traveling on Mondays is so much nicer that I actually feel like I can stand my job this week which is also good :)

Hope all had a good weekend.

I Love Thursday

Writing a running blog when you are not running is kind of weird. Thinking about running is kind of depressing right now so it's hard to write about that, and working out when you ae not running is boring!

The only benefit to being injured is that I am lifting weights every other day faithfully, I will be getting some actual arm strength. I did a shoulder exercise this morning that showed how pitiful my shoulders are, so I will keep working on that one.

This morning I got up around 5:30 and went to the gym. I did the elliptical at a moderate intensity with a few little spikes for 90 minutes. Then I did a little stretching, lifted, and showered. Nothing exciting except that I really like this NYSC. On the little TV you can listen to the radio and to TV shows. It makes the time go by really fast. I was also reading about Iraq in my favorite magazine, The Atlantic Montly. This magazine is crazy. It takes me forever to get through an issue but when I do, I feel so much smarter. It is amazing how much has been happening in Iraq that people in the US just don't hear about anymore. So I guess that getting more reading done is another benefit to being injured and cross training!

I am very excited to get home tonight. I had to book my flight home on Frontier, on a flight that leaves 35 minutes later than my normal United flight and supposedly gets in 45 minutes later - hopefully it'll be a bit early. Tomorrow I'm planning on doing some swimming and aqua jobbing and then dying my hair (yes I am 26 but it is turning gray, getting old sucks). Then we are going to a party to see some friends' pictures from their trip to Italy which should be fun. I am thrilled to hae a nice long weekend at home - and wish me luck with the PT on Monday! Happy Columbus Day to all :)

Happy Again

So my entry yesterday was kind of morose. In fact since about Sunday morning I had been feeling crappy and almost depressed. I really hate flying out on Sundays, it makes the day really short and I feel like I am constantly missing out on stuff. On Sunday for example we went to Fort Collins (which is where Matt's family lives) and I felt like I had to leave the minute I got there. In addition to that I have such a good time hanging out with Matt that it makes me really sad when I have to leave. So of course that is kind of a vicious cycle because then on Sundays I am sad and have a crappy time and I am not fun to be around. It is so bad!

So yesterday when I found out that this coming Monday, which is Columbus Day, is a holiday for our client, I was SO HAPPY. I had a flight out Sunday night which I was dreading but because of the holiday, I changed it to Monday night! This is great for so many reasons. Because I'm leaving Monday night now, I was able to get an appointment with my physical therapist on Monday. Unless the Broncos have a bye or are playing on Monday night (something I should check), I will actually be able to watch an entire Broncos game. And I will have a happy Sunday because I will have a whole day to have fun, hang out with Matt, and NOT get on a plane! Oh I am so happy.

Since I am not running, last night I went to a yoga class which was fine. I may be able to swing one more day of my introductory one week yoga membership out here which would be cool, so I'll try to go again Wednesday night. This morning I began using my trial membership to the New York Sports Club in town. That place is really nice, all the cardio equipment has LCD screens where you can watch TV, listen to CD's, and maybe some other stuff. I did the elliptical trainer for 65 minutes with 5 minutes in the middle at a fairly high level of effort. Then I briefly lifted weights and took a short steam. I will probably join unless it is over $100 a month so that I can work out and possibly even stay in decent shape while I'm injured. Also during the winter it might just be a nice place to belong for treadmill running when it's really cold and for lifting weights, which is something that I hate but will do if I'm at a gym.

Tonight I will be heading into Manhattan which should be a fun adventure. So things are looking up!

Injured

Well I am definitely injured. I hadn't run for a week when I went to the Race for the Cure to pace my friend M in the competitive 5k. We jogged around for 6 minutes, then lined up for the race. We ran the first mile in 8:05, which felt fine (it was all uphill). Then my knee started to hurt. A lot. I don't want to brag about toughness or anything but I have run through some pain in my life and this was the worst. I have no idea exactly what is wrong - I'm having this weird pain on the outside of my knee that hurts A LOT when I run but doesn't hurt when I do anything else.

I have a call in to my PT so hopefully I can get in, although since I'm only in town on Fridays that might be difficult. If I can get in sometime I'll try to make it work, because I don't know what else to do. I firmly believe that most doctors don't know what they are doing and don't understand runners.

So hopefully it will get better soon. Until then, I am joining a gym out here in NJ, going to lots of yoga, swimming, and mountain biking. I will try to update although it's kind of depressing to write about not running!

In other news it was a fun weekend although flying to NJ on Sundays is really wearing on me, I feel like my weekends are so short. This week I have some fun plans - going to yoga tonight, Manhattan tomorrow, and hopefully something fun on Wednesday, maybe going shopping or just working out more.

Being injured is no fun, being in Jersey all week is no fun, but I'm trying to have a positive attitude. So here goes = Woo Hoo! Oh I am feeling positive already!
