Dallas

Well now I am in Dallas for the week which is nice, albeit humid and warm, so far.

I did not really have a very good weekend of running so this will be a brief update because there is not much good news to report. Saturday, I did a 6 x 1 mile workout in absymally slow times. I felt tired and my legs were dead - it was hard to run 7:30 pace. Sunday was even worse, but I suffered through about 10 miles, bringing me to 65 miles for the week and almost 300 miles for the month of August which is a lifetime best by about 40 miles. I've not run yet today, and I am tired from getting up at 4:10 am to catch at 6:15 am flight, but I'm planning on an easy 3 or 4 miles later this evening, just to shake my legs out.

This week will be a very easy one, with mileage under 50 for the week as my current projection. I'm racing next Monday which should be fun if I start feeling better.

At this point in my marathon training I am pretty concerned about actually being able to run it, since my longest run so far is 16 miles and I don't know when I'll run 20. It's not the end of the world if I don't run the marathon, or if I run it really slow, but it is also not ideal.

More to come later tonight or tomorrow, hopefully things will start looking up from a running standpoint (the non-running world is great!).
