Running Late

So I am kind of bored by myself right now. It is so hard to come up with titles - I ran today, I ran yesterday, etc., etc. Yet again I planned to lift weights and didn't. Whoops.

So I accepted a new job offer yesterday. This is my latest excuse for not lifting. It was truly exhausting. So I went home and crashed on my couch. I could have as much as a month off from work which I would be SO excited about. I think if I did, I would try to run 70 mpw for a few weeks. I might do it anyway because if I give two weeks notice, I won't be working all that much for my last two weeks.

I ran 4 miles this morning with D. Fridays are my optional day off. I had actually considered taking the day off but I have a trip to California in two weeks, so I think I'd rather take a day off there or during the travel sometime, when I may have to. I felt kinda rough earlier this week but I'm feeling pretty good now. Stretching is so important. I've been focusing on it a lot more the last few days and I think it's really helped - also I've been making it a priority to get enough sleep. I am feeling pretty good now! And I'm definitely less scared about Sunday morning's long run. That is just kind of a funny thing. Running 10 miles is no big deal right now, and after running 4 miles this morning, I feel like I've hardly done anything. Kind of a nice feeling occasionally. But that is why I don't like taking days off.

I'm so excited to be in town this weekend. I have a workout tomorrow morning and then the long run on Sunday so it should be busy. On Saturday I really want to go for a hike as well, and shop, and go to the pool. And possibly take an ice bath.
