Day One
So this is the first day of my blog. I am really excited about this, excited and a little scared! It is a really strange concept to have something that everyone can see. Not that much of anyone will actually see this, at least for a while.
I have been thinking about what I want this to be. Alison's blog is primarily about her running. I am also a runner and just joined a new running group, which will be more serious and challenging. My goals for running are primarily about getting faster right now and breaking my old PR's from college. In addition, I'm running my first marathon this year (Chicago, on October 10th) and I really want to see what I can do in a longer race. Generally I am not very fast but I have a lot of endurance. So I think the marathon will be my best and most competitive distance. I am planning on creating an 'About this Blog' type of entry which will give more background.
However, the only other information that is probably pertinent is that I'm 26, I live in Denver, and I work as an IT consultant. Although I know absolutely nothing about web stuff so Alison has set everything up for me, which is so nice!
I may write a bit more later today once I figure some other stuff out.
