Running everyday!
I have really been enjoying running over the holidays. It is so nice to know I have someone to watch Ryan so I can get out for a good run everyday. As long as I stick to my plan I will get over 40 miles for the first time since I was pregnant with Ryan this week! I ran 6 miles on Christmas morning before heading over to the in-laws for Ryan's first Christmas. He enjoyed the wrapping paper more than his presents, but even so he made the holiday fun like when you were a kid again. Yesterday I took an easy day and ran 4 miles with my husband and my dad and just had fun chatting with them. Today I ran 7.5 miles as soon as it got light. I ran a route that I have not done in quite a while, which involves a dirt road and a short trail...nice to get off the pavement even if just for a little while. Ryan is taking his afternoon nap right now, but we are going to head over to the Y in a little bit to take advantage of one of the few days there is childcare during the holidays and get some lifting in.
