A real long run!

So after Tuesday's depressing and aborted attempt to run fast, I had a much more fun and encouraging running experience yesterday. I know many of you are training for marathons and doing 20+ mile long runs, but since I enjoy running 5k to 10 mile races at the moment I consider 10 miles to be the beginning of long run territory. And yesterday I finally ran the whole 10 miles that the cross country girls do for their long run. It was so much fun. I ran with 2 of my top varsity runners and we did this beautiful and very muddy trail loop and it felt so good to not have to cut if short. I may be far from getting my speed back, but at least my endurance is starting to come back. Today I have lifted weights while Ryan took a nap and plan to run 6 miles at practice this afternoon.
