Rain
I have been really tired trying to fit coaching two practices a day around raising a newborn baby and getting back to running myself. The good news is that Ryan has been sleeping longer stretches at a time during the night this week, so hopefully we are moving in the right direction.
As far as running goes, here is a summery of what I have done since my last entry:
Thursday- 60 minutes elliptical trainer and lifted upper body (due to huge storms we canceled both pracices and I took advantage of it and did a non-impact day, since my body is certainly feeling the return to running)
Friday- ran 4.5 hilly miles with the girls I coach easy at about 8:30 minute miles
Saturday- ran 5 miles on my own on dirt roads (which my legs liked at lot better than the sidewalks we run on during practices) easy at about 8:30 minute miles
Sunday- 30 minutes elliptical trainer and 90 minute hike
Monday- ran 3 miles easy at 8 minute mile pace (glad that is starting to feel easy at least for short runs) and did 30 minutes elliptical trainer and stretched in the evening (another canceled practice due to weather)
Today- I ran 2.5 mile warming up and cooling down with the girls for their workout and am going to run 4 miles this evening with them.
I totaled 26 miles last week (I ran 13 miles the first week, 23 the second week back to running) and am planning to run 29 miles this week.
