Jacy Christiansen
I forgot to mention yesterday when I wrote, I was reading the new Runner's World and I saw an article on that 11 year old girl that keeps winning big races. She has run a low 18 5k, which I heard people talk about in the fall and the article talked about how she had just beat 2200 women in a 5 mile race running 30 minutes! I don't know why this had not registered before when I have heard people talk about her, but I suddenly remembered Jenny Christiansen, who I ran with on my college team. She had 6 or 7 younger brothers and sisters, they all had names that started with J and there whole family ran together all the time. So I got on the internet and Jacy really is one of Jenny's sisters! She also has 2 younger brothers, Job and Jake, who have American records in the 5k (and other distances) ranging from age 3 to 7!

Oh do I know the Christiansen family!!!! They live about an hour north of where I live so I often encounter the clan at road races. You are so right - there are like a million of them and their names all start with J and they all run fast! The little one - Jacy - has definitely beaten me in races. She is so small though. I can't tell you how many times I've been scared for her life at the start of a big race! She certainly holds her own though. I got such a kick out of reading your entry about them. :)

Oh wow. I just googled Jacy and came up with her family's records. That has got to be one of the most amazing things I have ever read.

That is very amazing. I hope your hip gets better.
Now I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you had any recommendations as to running with a bag.
After work I want to run home but I have to wear business attire. So I wanted to take my clothes in a bag to change afterwards. I mostly assumed that since you are very experienced you might shed some light on this.
Thank you and I hope the best for you.
