A real weekend day!

Yesterday was so great! I loved having some down time and am in so much better of a mood today. In the afternoon my husband and I took the car to get the oil changed, and while we were waiting walked through our old apartment complex where we lived the first two years we were married. Than we had a BBQ on our back porch, and just enjoyed the nice weather and sitting in our backyard. Finally we went to watch the new Star Wars movie, which was not very good, but I was expecting that. Its just one of those movies you have to see, even if its not that great, in honor of the original 3 movies. This morning I had to work, but things went pretty good. We had our Sunday morning program, which took a lot of set up this week, and than a meeting for our volunteer leaders. I was happy with how this went, since we have had so much transition and changes lately and its pretty unclear about how some things are going to work in the future. I felt accepted in my increased leadership role and like people trusted me to figure out the future. Afterward I met my dad at the trails near my house and ran the main loop with him and than ran home, which was about 7 miles total. My hip felt almost normal again today! My left achilles was a little sore, but I am not too worried since that is an old injury that bothers me a little from time to time espesially when I run on uneven surfaces like today. When I got back I did my strech/stregthening routine, and spend a little extra time working on my calf muscles. Than we made dinner and went for a long walk, since the rain finally let up and it turned into a beautiful evening.

Ann,

This is response to your May 2nd post regarding the Christiansen family. I've mentioned in my blog how Minnesota does a great job keeping age and age-group records. This weekend I was going through the 2004 yearbook list of all-time best performances in the state for each age and distance. Here are the names that appear in the 5 mile category.

Jacy Christiansen, 11 30:55
Job Christiansen, 13 29:35
Jake Christiansen, 15 27:30
Jeb Christiansen, 17 25:44

Very impressive times.

Zeke
