Strep Throat
Well, I finally went to the doctor today, because I have not been able to shake this sickness I caught from my husband over a week ago and it got worse again this weekend. It turns out I have strep throat, so at least now I have some medicine and I understand why I have been so wiped recently. On a postive note, the sun was out and it was 50 degrees again today, and with the warmer weather and very light running weekend, my hip is feeling as good as it has in a couple weeks. I only ran 3 miles, but my hip barely hurt. This time I am going to be smart and slowly build my mileage back up, without any big jumps. I did my stretches tonight and plan to do 4 miles tomorrow morning and probably a little running at my track girls meet tomorrow evening.

It's good to hear that you have an explanation, and now I hope things will only improve. Good luck!

By the way I love the quote you put up there, it's one of my favorites. Did you put it up recently? I don't think I had seen it.... Hope you feel better!

blah! strep!
hang in there, ann! take it easy and let your body recover. the hip and not being able to fight off the strep might both be related to pushing too hard.
