Feeling better
I stretched for about 40 minutes and did my exercises yesterday. Today, I was nervous to run again, since I was afraid my hip would start hurting badly as I ran, and make yesterday's day off seem pointless. I decided to do 3 easy again this morning. My hip felt okay to start, but about half mile in it started hurting worse. I was feeling pretty worried, but after another mile it started to loosen up and felt slightly better than when I started by the time I finished. I stretched/strengthened/iced when I was done. I am going to write this here, to try and help me stick with this. I am not going to run at practice today with the track girls. I really want to be smart about my recovery, so maybe I can even race this weekend (race 2 in the series I was hoping to do). I was pleased this morning to see that both of the faster women in our area were not at yesterday's race either, which really surprised me. So we are all starting out behind in points, which is good since I have to miss another race for my brother's wedding this summer. I am feeling better with my sickness today, as well. My fever is gone, although I still have a sore throat and headache. I slept so soundly last night, which I think really helped.
